Yeah! I don’t have to remind you the world didn’t end, shit those Mayans! Though I must warn you we could be living in the afterlife!
The year ends today, in other parts like New Zealand; it already dawned on them that 2013 doesn’t come with free biscuits falling from the heavens (poor things!). So being the end of the year, many things have to happen like thanking those that made 2012 a year to rub off human history! You are the reason God made stones light enough for throwing! Then to those that made 2012 a dream year, you deserve a ladder from Warid telecom, it’s not easy keeping a smile on a Ugandan’s face!
So this year has been largely a success for the delusional teen, I had a field year of news stories, my blog (the one you are reading now) tripled its site views, I met important, unimportant, respectable and lousy people all in this year.
To those that hurt others in this year, I pray a 2013 fire work hits your head to death.
This festive season I convinced myself that Uganda is a perfect country aside the squabbles and that the rest of us had forgotten it’s beauty! So I took random trips to the attraction points that make me Ugandan.
SOURCE OF THE NILE
So this place is a few kilometers out-of-town, in jinja to say! Its one of the reasons Uganda got known by the rest of the world before the Idi Amin stereo-type kicked in. The place, a perky rise of bushes and African craft shops is guarded by a one-roomed house from where you pay your dues before taking a walk around. The fish there, quite a meal and cost-friendly.

must appreciate the grass around here surely deserved another photo

not even the dangerous points are restricted…..you know we love breaking the law back here!

yes! that was a trip….now someone complained that they’d never seen my face anywhere on my blog! well today is your lucky day! this is me…….. bye-bye 2012!

Honestly 2012 has been a successful year for me. I look forward for a more challenging 2013 and obviously the journalist in me should never die now that am chasing a law degree!
